Powerhouse161 views5.0L High Output motor. The HO motors in these cars have forged pistons and a steel crankshaft. It has Central Fuel Injection (CFI) and a dual snorkel for the breather. Everything works including A/C which has been retrofitted to R134A, cruise control, power brakes and power steering. These motors were rated between 165-175 hp. The Mustangs with the same motor were rated at 185 hp due to the dual exhaust system on those.

1985 Ford LTD LX145 views5.0L H.O., AOD transmission, Mustang Alloy wheels

Sleek and shiny142 viewsAll of the LX's had the blacked out grill as this was Ford's attempt to compete with the European imports like BMW that same year. The performance and handling were equivalent to the BMW 3 and 5 series of the same year.

Passenger side dash142 viewsThis car has been garage kept all of it's life. The interior is immaculate.

Handling135 viewsWith these Mustang wheels on the car, it really sticks to the road. These are speed rated tires and they're all-season, too. All of the tires are nearly brand new.

Style and performance130 viewsThis car is a great sleeper car. No one suspects that this car can perform the way it does, so many ricers are surprised at red lights when you take off.

Driver's side back seat126 viewsThere's no tears or cigarette burns here. This is a very comforatble car even in the back seat.

Driver's side seat124 viewsThe driver's seat is equipped with adjustable 6-way power seat.

Console shifter123 viewsThe LTD LX was the only sedan Ford ever built during the 80's with a console shifter.

Passenger side rear seat view119 viewsThis car has power door locks and child safety lockouts and the windows only roll down half-way.

Rear view114 viewsThis is the view most other cars will have. Notice the rear anti-sway bar underneath. This car handles like it's on rails.

Passenger side rear view109 viewsI love this car.

Speedo109 viewsThis car has 117, 300 and some miles on it. The Police versions had the 140 mph speedo and all of them have tachs.

Plenty of storage93 viewsThere's enough room for a dead body in the trunk, although I wouldn't recommend it. It has the original spare tire and cover and all the jack hardware.

Two old farts living their dream51 viewsHere Ken and I are focused intently on hitting the right notes. Ken's guitar sounded awesome that night and illustrated the fact that he is a true "gear head". We used his digital recorder to record the show although we were plagued with technical difficulties. We only managed to get bits and pieces of our Distraction set but captured a great deal of the jam session afterwards with Aash.

More decorations by Kate34 viewsShe is the quintessential hostess and very gracious. She put up all of the decorations that you saw (if you came) in the lodge. I am not sure if she is for hire, but I can't think of anyone else I would rather have plan my next event.

My truck and tent33 viewsHere's where I stored my stuff. I didn't sleep here, but should have. Rory tends to snore and has a bad habit of ripping off those famous Cunningham farts once the tent is zipped up. (I may have snored a little myself, to be fair)

Danny by the fire33 viewsDanny watches as Rory checks on some food we are cooking. We cooked a whole chicken in Rory's Lodge dutch oven pot. It was awesome. The meat just fell off the bones and it had a lemon pepper seasoning.

In Case of Fire...31 viewsIn case of fire, this window is my only exit. I can crawl out the window and make my way along a WOODEN stairway down to the ground. Hmmm, I hope the wood isn't on fire when I do this. To go to the next photo, click on the little blue arrow at the top right of the box surrounding this window. It points to the right. |

Snoring device29 viewsOf course, here's where my plethora of guests sleep when they visit. This nicely decorated piece of sleeping and sitting hardware is furnished with a Thomas Kinkade throw blanket and pillows. There's definitely a theme here. Lots of lighthouses and nautical stuff in this room. The color is actually called "Lighthouse". I wanted something pleasant and peaceful and this shade of blue does that for me.

The Throne29 viewsAh, a nice recliner to rest my weary bones at the end of a long day of marketing analysis. This is the view you see first when you catch your breath from the 36 steps to my apartment. As you can see, there's not a single horizontal surface on the ceiling. Everything is angled and slopes in every direction. It's certainly a good use of space no matter how you look at it. I like living above the fray and not below them. Of course, the Frays live downstairs.

Watch Your Step!28 viewsThis view is from the top of the stairs in my apartment. At the bottom of the stairs is the door to the hallway. There's not enough room for a handrail, so you have to balance yourself by putting your hands on the wall. Interestingly enough, you cannot squeeze anything larger than a full size mattress up this stairwell. Don't even think about a full size couch! I bought a futon because you can assemble it once you get it upstairs, plus, it gives Randal a place to snore when he visits.
